Chicken Pepper Roast - A Quick Recipe

INTRODUCTION:

Elevate mealtime with our Chicken Pepper Roast, uniting succulent chicken and fiery pepper for satisfying, bold flavors. A simple delight that's a must-try for all, from cooking enthusiasts to novices.
 

INGREDIENTS:

  • Chicken - 500g
  • Onion - 1(medium), 80g
  • Tomato - 1(medium), 65g
  • Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
  • Cinnamon - 1 1/2 inch (crushed)
  • Cloves - 4 (crushed)
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste 
  • Oil - 3 tablespoons

 



DIRECTIONS:

  • Heat the oil in a pan on low flame. Add the crushed cinnamon and cloves, sauté for 30 seconds allowing their delightful aromas to infuse the oil.
  • Add the finely chopped onion to the pan on medium flame and sauté for a minute.
  • Add the fresh curry leaves to the pan and sauté for 2 minutes, or until the onions transform into light golden shade.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste to the pan and Sauté until the paste's aroma blooms.
  • Add the finely chopped tomato to the pan and Sauté until the tomato softens and seamlessly melds with the other ingredients.
  • It's spice time! Sprinkle in the turmeric powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, and coriander powder. Mix well to create a fragrant base. 
  • Add 3 tablespoons of water to help the spices meld together.
  • Add the chicken to the pan and salt. Mix the chicken thoroughly with the spices and sauté for 2 minutes to lock in all the incredible flavors.
  • Cover cook for 20 minutes or until the chicken is completely cooked.
  • Add the black pepper powder and sauté for 2 minutes to let the pepper blend harmoniously with the other flavors.
  • Add the chopped coriander leaves and turnoff the flame.
  • Serve this delectable creation alongside steaming rice or naan.
