Tangy Mint Chutney Recipe for Tandoori Delights

Made with fresh mint, coriander, green chilies, and curd, it adds a burst of refreshing flavor to grilled or tandoori delicacies. The vibrant green chutney pairs perfectly as a dip or drizzle, enhancing the smoky goodness of tandoori creations.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves, washed and stems removed
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, washed and stems removed
  • 1 or 2 green chilies
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 tablespoon water (optional, for desired consistency)

Directions:

  • In a blender, combine the mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, ginger, lemon juice, black pepper powder, chat masala, roasted cumin powder and salt. Blend until you get a coarse paste.
  • Add some water if required while blending to fine coarse of paste.
  • Add curd to a bowl and whisk it using blender until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  • Now, add the ground paste to the curd and stir mix until the paste and curd are blended together.
  • Taste the chutney and adjust the salt or lemon juice according to your preference.
  • Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
