- Red chilly powder - 1/2 table spoon
- Ginger garlic paste - 1/4 table spoon
- Chat masala - 1/4 table spoon
- Salt - as per taste
- Egg (1 no) - beaten
- Oil (for deep fry)
Directions:
1. Preparing bread crumbs (skip to Step #2 if you have it ready-made):- Dry roast both sides of the 4 bread loafs on a pan with low flame.
- Cut the roasted bread loafs into smaller pieces.
- Grind the bread pieces to make a fine coarse of breadcrumbs.
2. Preparing the Potato Nuggets Mixture:
- Boil or pressure cook the potatoes until 3 to 4 whistles.
- Drain the potatoes, allow them to cool (about 10 to 15 mins) and peel the skin of the boiled potatoes.
- Grate the peeled potatoes finely.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the grated potato, 2 table spoons of breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder, black pepper powder, chat masala and salt.
- Mix all the ingredients gently.
3. Shaping and Coating the Nuggets:
- Take small portions of the potato mixture and roll them into small, bite-sized nuggets without any cracks.
- Dip each nugget into the beaten egg, making sure to coat them completely.
- Roll the coated nuggets in the breadcrumbs, ensuring a generous coating on all sides.
- Dust the excess amount of bread crumbs on the nuggets.
- Heat cooking oil in a frying pan over high heat/flame.
- Once the oil is heated, keep the flame medium.
